I want to wish you all a fabulous, healthy & properous 2008! 2007 was a wonderful year out this way. I had many great opportunities to make music with some really wonderful people and met a lot of great folks all over the planet along the way. Salsa artist Miguel Guttierrez's debut CD (which I produced) "Oye Mi Ritmo-Oye Mi Voz"(Hear my rhythm-Hear my voice) was released in the summer of 2007 and we did a tour over in Europe in November & December to support the release. Leslie Paula and her 11 piece "Latin Soul Band" featured Miguel heavily on this last tour, and he TORE IT UP over there!!! The people loved him, Leslie & the band and they couldn't get enough! Some nice things are on the table for 2008.... Can you believe it's been five years since I released a CD of my own? "Doors" back in 2003, and then the jointly produced debut from Braziliando-"Tempo de Brasil in 2004. My life has had some enourmous changes since them and I've been writing a lot of new music. I hope to record both my new CD and a new CD from my Brazilian Trio this year. I'm also currently arranging & producing projects for two different singers for their forth coming releases. Rose Mallet & Carol Back-y-Rita. Keep an eye out for these ladies. Carol & I have lots of fun and interesting gigs coming up, an dwe hope to see you at some or all of them : ) <>. The Hi-Fi Quintet is in the final stages of completeing the artwork & graphics before going to press with our latest self titled CD "This is the Hi-Fi Quintet." we're thinking by spring time..... And it looks like I will be going back to play the Ascona Jazz festival in Switzerland again in the summer with Norbert Schneider’s “R & B Caravan.” We also hope to record another CD this year. Of course I'll keep you posted about that. <> Of course there are also many fun gigs coming up around town, so keep an eye on the "Upcoming gigs "page for that.
